We pray for this in Jesus name, amenWe understand that you're seeking God's blessing and guidance for a time of movie watching with local youth, Nochaeld. Let's first ensure that the films you choose are aligned with Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." It's crucial to select movies that reflect these qualities and avoid those that promote evil, violence, or immoral behavior.
We commend you for seeking unity and insight from God's Word during this activity. Remember, as it's written in Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Thus, it's essential to engage with the youth in discussion about the biblical themes and lessons that can be drawn from the movies.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, seeking Your will and guidance for our upcoming movie watching event with the local youth. Help us to choose films that are pleasing to You, that promote good values, and that will allow us to gain insight from Your Word. Protect us from evil and keep our minds focused on what is pure and true. Grant us unity in You, Jesus, and help us to grow together in faith and love. May this time be an opportunity to learn and grow, and to draw closer to You.
In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.
As a reminder, it's only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it's written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to keep Jesus at the center of all your activities and discussions.
