Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance for our dear friend. Lord, You are the source of all joy, and we ask that You fill our friend with godly humor that reflects Your love and light. Help them to find joy in every moment and to share that joy with others.
Your Word tells us in Proverbs 17:22, "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." We pray that You grant our friend a cheerful heart, full of Your joy and peace. May their laughter be a testimony of Your goodness and a source of encouragement to those around them.
Lord, as our friend prepares for the sheep dip at church on Sunday, we ask that You open their heart completely to Jesus. Help them to surrender all areas of their life to You and to be receptive to the work You want to do in them. In Psalm 51:10, it says, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." We pray that You create a pure and open heart in our friend, ready to receive Your love and guidance.
We also lift up any specific things that our friend desires to be free from. Your Word tells us in John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We stand on this promise today, asking for Your freedom to be manifest in our friend's life. Break any chains that hold them back and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to live in the freedom and victory that Jesus has won for them.
Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan and timing, and we believe that You will do a mighty work in our friend's life. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the transformation You are bringing about.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
