(James 1:2-5) "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

Do you feel as if you are in a pressure cooker? Problems surround and are overwhelming you. You feel pressured on every side. (II Corinthians 4:6-12) “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,†made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that His life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.â€
If this is you, then praise God! The pressure from the trials of life will show you what is in your heart. They will bring to the surface those things that God wants to get rid of and purify your heart. (Psalm 51:10) "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Trials will change your heart from the inside out perfecting your faith. (I Peter 1:7) "These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
A pressure cooker cooks foods faster by containing superheated steam within a pressurized chamber along with the food. The entire cooker must be designed and built to safely contain very high pressures, hence the great weight and thick metal. It will cause the food that may have taken hours to cook normally to be cooked in a much shorter time. So praise God when the devil turns up the heat and the Lord allows it! God will not allow it unless it can be used for your good! (Romans 8:28) “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.†This is what happened to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the Book of Daniel. (Daniel 3:16-23) "Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. f we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not, we want you to know Your Majesty; that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.†Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace."

They trusted in God and walked through the fire and Jesus was there going through it with them just as He promises to do for all of us; “I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ The trusted Him and He brought them through and they were promoted! (Daniel 3:25-28) "He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.†Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!†So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the fire, and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent His angel and rescued His servants! They trusted in Him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God." Wouldn’t you like to move out of the position you are in and much quicker than you expected?

A pressure cooker works under the principle that water is a more effective way to transmit heat than air is, meaning a pot of boiling water at 212 degrees can do the job of a convection oven at 400 degrees. There is no other way under normal environmental circumstances to heat water beyond 212 degrees in order to increase the speed of cooking. A pressure cooker is the solution to this problem. The food to be made is placed in the pressure cooker, along with some amount of water. The lid is securely fixed into place, usually by means of several latches or flanges. The vessel is then placed on a heat source. When the water reaches the boiling point at atmospheric pressure it begins to boil, but since the produced steam in the pressure cooker cannot escape the pressure rises, consequently raising the internal boiling point. Once the pressure increases to the designed level above air pressure a relief valve opens, releasing steam and preventing the pressure from rising any further. After a short time, you remove the cooker from the heat source and press the release valve. This safely vents all the steam so you can open the cooker and remove the food.

As a child of God with the Holy Spirit of Jesus within you--you now have just want you need to undergo great pressure by the strength and power of the Holy Spirit just like the pressure cooker. (II Corinthians 12:9-10) “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.†Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." To activate and use that power you need to believe and call on the name of Jesus during great times of pressure and He will rise to the occasion to give you the strength needed. (Philippians 4:13) "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

If God is allowing the pressures in your life to be turned up then also know He is with you and is watching over your safety. When you have passed the test you will come forth as gold! (Job 23:10) "But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold." Praise Him instead of complaining because He is allowing it in order to speed up the process of purification so as to bless you much faster! He wants to bring about your harvest, answered prayers, deliverance and healing and blessings much faster!

Then suddenly God will act and your harvest will be upon you! Expect your suddenly!

(Isaiah 48:3) "I foretold the former things long ago, My mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass."
