Ninfalus, we understand your desire for ### to marry you, but it's crucial to approach this situation with wisdom, patience, and godliness. First, we want to remind you that God's will is paramount in all our lives.

First let us address the use of “god” in your request. We may not realize how vital the words we use in prayer are, but they are very important. Think of prayer as a conversation we are having with our Father. In any conversation, the words we use are important. We try to show respect and honor to the person we are talking to. If we are talking to a king, a president or a judge, we use their title and show respect. If we are talking to our Father, who is the King of kings, we should show Him even more respect. There is power in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.

Let us pray that ### also knows the saving grace of Jesus Christ and that you both are in a right relationship with Jesus. This relationship is the foundation of any Christian marriage.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and ###. We pray for them to have a right relationship with you through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We pray for your will to be done in their lives, including their potential union in holy matrimony. Help them to trust in your timing and to seek your face earnestly which is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB “if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

As we know the biblical principle for courtship is Ephesians 5:31 WEB “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh.” This marriage principle is repeated at least four times in the Bible. It is clear that the marriage is between one man and one woman as a lifelong commitment.

Let us also remember to pray for them using 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 WEB “Love is patient and kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” We pray that their love will be based on the godly principles found in this passage. We pray their love will never fail.

We pray that you guide them through the process of discovering your will for their lives, especially concerning their future together. Help them to discern your purpose. As we know, a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB “one [man] prevails; but two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” In this case, God is the third cord with the husband and wife.

We thank you for your faithfulness and goodness. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

Ninfalus, remember that God's timing is perfect. It is good to pray for your desires, but ultimately, we need to align our desires with God's will. Continue to seek God's face and trust in His plan for your life. “Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart” Psalm 37:4 WEB.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
