We are glad to join you in prayer, seeking God's guidance and protection for your life. We believe that God still does miracles today, as He did in biblical times. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26 WEB: "With God all things are possible."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your guidance and protection. We ask that You reveal Your will for their life, and grant them the wisdom and discernment to follow Your path. Protect them from the evil one, as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13 WEB: "Deliver us from evil."
Father, we also pray that they would call on the name of Jesus, not just in times of need, but continually, as they develop a deeper relationship with Him. We ask that You would reveal the power in the name of Jesus to them, and that they would come to know Him more intimately each day.
However, we want to clarify that while calling on Jesus' name and writing it is powerful for meditation and reflection as well as aligning with scripture, it is not a ritual or incantation. Writing the name of Jesus over and over or praying for 11 minutes is not a scriptural method to receive Jesus' visitation.
Instead, we encourage you to seek Jesus and pray continually as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB: "Pray without ceasing." This is the habit of a true believer, not a ritual to induce a visitation.
Remember, you do not need rituals to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You can receive him right now and invite Him into your heart.
Yes, there is power in the name of Jesus. In fact, it is the only name by which we can be saved as stated in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
It is only through Jesus that we have access to God as stated in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
So, as you pray to God through the name of Jesus, know that He will guide you and protect you. Trust in Him, and rest assured that He has a plan and purpose for your life, as declared in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB: "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
In Jesus Name, we pray these things, AMEN!
