We are thrilled to join you in prayer as you endeavor to complete your Bible reading plans. It is wonderful to see your desire to engage with God's Word. Remember the words of King David, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" Psalm 119:105 WEB.
Firstly, let us address the encouragement you offered to others. It is true that God has a plan for each of us, and it is wonderful that you are sharing this hope with others. However, we must be clear that the power and the hope come explicitly from the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Regarding the teaching you mentioned, while it is true that there is power in the name of Jesus, we must be cautious not to turn our faith into a formula or ritual. The idea of writing Jesus' name repeatedly or calling on Him for a specific number of minutes a day can lead to a mechanical approach to faith, which is not what God desires. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for their ritualistic and mechanical prayers. God desires an authentic relationship with us, not ritualistic or "magical" practices Matthew 6:7-8 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is diligently seeking to finish their Bible reading plans. We thank the Holy Spirit for the motivation to read and understand Your Word.
Lord, give them the strength, wisdom, and endurance to complete this spiritual discipline. Open their eyes to see the wonders of Your Word, and let the Holy Spirit reveal how to live and apply biblical principles.
Father, we also pray for those who will be encouraged by their testimony. Let them see the true power and hope that comes from a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Help us all to move beyond rituals and truly engage with You in prayer and study.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His name that we are saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Amen.
Continue in your pursuit of God's Word, knowing that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Trust that He will reveal Himself to you as you seek Him with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 WEB. Be encouraged by the Psalmist's words, "The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces." Psalm 119:72 WEB.
