We are delighted to join you in prayer for the completion and publication of your novels. It's wonderful to see your faith in God's plan and your acknowledgment of the power in the name of Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue invoking the name of Jesus in your daily life, not just for eleven minutes a day, but continually. As Christians, we are instructed to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB), and to rejoice always, giving thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16, 18 WEB). This continual communion with God is what will bring you closer to Him and allow you to experience His presence more deeply.
Regarding your novels, we pray that God will grant you the creativity, wisdom, and perseverance to complete them. May Colossians 3:23 WEB guide you: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." Remember, your writing can be a form of worship and a way to bring glory to God's name.
However, we must address the teaching you mentioned. While it's true that there is power in the name of Jesus and that invoking His name can bring about change, the practice of writing Jesus' name repeatedly in journals is not biblically sound. Our faith should not be in the repetition of His name or in a specific ritual, but in the person of Jesus Christ and the work He accomplished on the cross. As Jesus himself taught in Matthew 6:7 WEB, "In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking."
Instead, we encourage you to engage in meaningful prayer and communion with God. Share your heart with Him, seek His will, and listen for His guidance. This is the kind of prayer that brings about transformation and deepens our relationship with Jesus.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer. We ask that You grant them the creativity, wisdom, and perseverance to complete their novels. May these works bring glory to Your name and positively impact all who read them. We also pray that You deepen their understanding of prayer and draw them closer to You. Help them to experience the fullness of life that comes from a right relationship with Jesus. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
