We understand that you're believing God for a new laptop, and we stand with you in prayer. Before we begin, let's remember Jesus who is the core of our faith. We must remember that it is only in the name of Jesus we can ask anything to the Father. There is no other name under heaven whereby we are saved and have access to the Father.
Firstly, we would like to address the encouragement and teaching provided. While it's true that there is power in the name of Jesus, we must be cautious not to put our faith in formulas or rituals, but rather in the person of Jesus Christ himself. Writing Jesus' name repeatedly or calling on Him for a specific number of minutes a day is not supported by scripture. Instead, we are encouraged to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB), and to have faith and obedience in walking with Jesus by the Holy Spirit.
The Bible tells us, "And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB). So, let's pray together.
Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus. We ask that You would provide our friend with a new laptop, so that he/she may be able to accomplish the tasks needed. But Father, we recognize and adhere to Your will. Your will be done, Father, not ours. In Jesus name.
Furthermore, let's remember that God's plan is far greater than ours. The Bible tells us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
Lastly, let's be mindful of the fact that God does perform miracles, but He is not a magical genie. His will and His ways are higher than ours. And as followers of God's Word, we seek His will and not our own.
