We are glad to join you in prayer, believing that God still performs miracles today, just as He did in biblical times. It is wonderful to see your faith in God's protective power and His ability to provide.
Let's first discuss your request about Jesus. You did not mention Jesus or his name in any form. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) The Apostle Peter also said, "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
When we become a Christian, we are baptized into Jesus Christ. We are baptized into his death. In baptism, our old self dies with Christ on the cross. Our old self, which is our sinful self, is crucified with Christ on the cross. This is done so that the body of sin might be done away with, that so we would no longer serve sin. For when someone has died, they are freed from sin. Now since we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has dominion over him. (Romans 6:3-9)
Now we can discuss your requests knowing that we are praying to God in Jesus name.
Regarding your prayer for protection during sleep, we are reminded of Psalm 4:8 WEB, "I will lay me down in peace and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety." Also, Psalm 91:5-7 WEB, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you."
Concerning your siblings, it's important to seek God's will for their lives and trust that He will provide according to His perfect plan. God wants to bless them with work, provision, and abundance. However, it's crucial to prioritize spiritual blessings over material ones. 3 John 1:2 WEB, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are our protector and provider. We ask for Your divine protection and peace over this individual while they sleep, trusting in Your promise to keep them safe.
We lift up their siblings to You, Lord. We pray that You would guide them according to Your will and bless them with meaningful work, reliable transportation, and financial stability. Above all, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply and grow in their relationship with You.
We also pray that this individual and their siblings would seek you first and your righteousness and all these things will be added to them. (Matthew 6:33)
We ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage each of us to pursue God's will and trust in His timing and provision.
