We understand that you are seeking mercy concerning vows you have made, and we believe that God still does miracles today. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is in his name that we pray and see miracles happen.
Concerning vows, the Bible tells us that it is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. We should be careful in making vows, but if we do make them, we should fulfill them to the Lord. In Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 WEB, it says, "When you vow a vow to God, don't defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow. It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay."
However, if you have made a vow that is not aligned with God's will or is contrary to His word, it is important to seek God's forgiveness and mercy. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In Acts 3:19 WEB, it says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord." If you have made a vow and need God's mercy to help accomplish or to repent, come to him in a spirit of humility and repentance.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your mercy and grace for our brother/sister. Lord, they have made vows and are in need of Your divine help to fulfill them or repent from them according to Your will. We ask that You grant them the strength, wisdom, and guidance needed to honor their commitments in a way that pleases You.
If these vows are not aligned with Your will, we pray that You would convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Help them to understand the seriousness of their vows and the importance of living in obedience to Your word.
Father, we believe that You still do miracles today, and we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Grant our brother/sister Your mercy and grace, and help them to walk in Your ways.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and loving, always ready to forgive and restore us when we come to Him with a repentant heart. Trust in His goodness and mercy, and seek to live in obedience to His word. If you find that these vows are not pleasing to God or that you have made them rashly, do not be afraid to seek godly counsel and repentance. God will honor your humility and desire to do what is right.
Lastly, if you have not already, consider the salvation that is available by believing in Jesus Christ. It is by his name that we are saved.
