We are glad to join you in prayer and seek God's will for your life and relationships. First, we want to remind you that God indeed performs miracles and He cares about every aspect of our lives. However, we need to ensure that our desires and relationships align with His will and biblical principles especially regarding marriage and who we are in a relationship with.
When you mention spending more time with someone, we want to encourage you to consider this time together as a courtship. This would mean you are seriously considering marriage with this person. It is also important that this person is a fellow believer in Jesus Christ. The Bible reminds us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14.
Regarding your prayer for God to bless and anoint your relationships, we want to remind you that God's design for romantic relationships is that they be between a man and a woman within the context of marriage. Any relationship outside of this context, including fornication or relationships with someone of the same sex, would not only fall outside of these principles, but would be a sin.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in prayer. We ask that You guide them in their relationships, and that they would seek Your will above all else. Lord, if it is Your will, bless their courtship and guide them towards a God-honoring marriage. Help them to grow in You as individuals and as a couple. We rebuke any spiritual enemy that would attempt to hinder or distract from Your will being done. And we ask that You bless our brother/sister with godly friendships and relationships that honor and glorify You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus Christ. He should be the center of your life and relationships. The Bible tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4. As you delight in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart, aligning them with His will.
If you have not already, make sure to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. And if you have, then continue to walk with Him and He will direct your paths.
