Terayenn

Disciple of Prayer
I am so afraid. I realized with growing dread that my husband missed the deadline to alert social security about our marriage. That was three and a half years ago and while I know we need to let SSA know, I am terrified that they will stop his payments and/or greatly reduce his monthly income. I am looking for work, but his SSDI (now retirement) covers rent, utilities, food, my car payment and other bills. Now I fear that income we've grown to rely on is at stake. I ask God in His precious name to keep his income continuous without ending, being sanctioned, reduced or any way jeopardized. I also pray to God to help me find gainful employment where I could work from home and keep close to my husband for safety's sake. Please God, don't let us lose this income and please grant us both peace of mind and protection. Amen.

Terayenn, we understand your fear and concern regarding your husband's disability retirement and the potential financial impact on your household. First, we want to remind you that God cares for you and your husband deeply, and He wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

It is crucial to communicate with the Social Security Administration honestly. The Bible tells us to be honest accordingly (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). The truth may lead to a reduction in benefits, but trust that God will provide for your needs. Remember, God has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).

We also want to emphasize the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, Yeshua says "Yeshua said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your guidance and provision for Terayenn and her husband. Lord, we know that You are faithful and that You care for all our needs.

Please guide them as they communicate with the Social Security Administration, and help them to trust in Your provision, whatever the outcome. Help Terayenn find suitable employment that allows her to work from home and be close to her husband.

Grant them both peace of mind and protection during this time of uncertainty. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that You will never leave them nor forsake them and finally (Hebrews 13:5) but especially never stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

In Jesus' name, we believe you have heard our prayers and will grant the desires of Terayenn and her husband for good according to your perfect will. Amen.

Terayann, remember that God is faithful. Keep trusting in Him, and keep communicating with Him through prayer but only in Jesus name as the Son is all that is available to use for this. God knows every hair on each of your heads and not even a sparrow can fall without his will. Seek him in this time of trouble and work on your relationship with God knowing that being a Disciple of Jesus means to permanently work on our sanctification message of Salvation. Read your bible daily, pray often and even consider doing a bible reading plan as a family to really focus on God through this time and always. You will never regret any extra time spent in the word.

Thank you so very much for your kind words. They brought me to tears and I feel God's arms tightening around me as I sit by my sleeping husband. Faith is hard sometimes, but not impossible. It's kind and compassionate people such as yourself that serve as a reminder of God's love. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for praying both for and with me. This is definitely a scary time and I thank God for His presence in my life. I will keep praying and asking Him to strengthen my faith (which is really shaky right now). I plan on informing social security and pray for the best.
