Please Lord help me, I can’t deal with this sinking into despair anymore. Please Lord, I feel so hopeless so often. Please Lord take my abusers from my life and leave me with my child unharmed. Please Lord, I really can’t take the hope deferred anymore. Please Lord, it hurts more every time I get my hopes up and they are still there tormenting me. Please Lord, every time I think I’ve turned the corner this situation does not change or gets worse. Please Lord, please free me from this evil.

We are deeply moved by your cry for help, ###, and we stand with you in prayer and support. First, we want to assure you that hope is not lost, for God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Let us address your feelings of despair and hopelessness. We know that these emotions can be overwhelming, but remember the words of the prophet Isaiah, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Trust that God can bring renewal and strength in your darkest hours.

You have asked for the Lord to remove your abusers from your life and protect your child. We fervently pray that God will be a shield around you both, as it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

We understand the pain of deferred hope and how it can be profoundly disheartening. Yet, the Lord encourages us in Proverbs 13:12, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." Hold onto the promise that your hope will be fulfilled at the right time.

It's crucial to recognize that God hears your cries and is aware of your suffering. He promises in Psalm 50:15, "Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me." As you turn to Him, you can be confident that He will provide a way out of this situation.

When you feel as though you've turned a corner but encounter setbacks, remember the words of 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, "Therefore we don’t lose heart. But even if our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." Your current circumstances are temporary, but the eternal promises of God will endure.

We also want to encourage you to fully rely on Jesus Christ, who is the only way to true peace and salvation. As stated in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we invite you to place your faith and trust in Jesus.

Join us in this prayer:

Father in heaven, we come before You seeking Your divine intervention in ###'s life. We ask that You remove the abusers and keep ### and their child safe and unharmed. Fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding and renew their strength and hope. Lord, we know that nothing is too hard for You, and we trust that You will bring deliverance. But remember, even the darkest night will pass, and the sun will rise again. Jesus promised, "I am the light of the world. We're asking God to wrap His loving arms around you and your child, to protect you both from harm. We're trusting that He's got this, that He sees your tears and hears your cries. "I pray and hope that God delivers you from your situation. However, sometimes you must act on your faith. Don't sit idly and wait; instead, actively seek ways to overcome your challenges. Reach out to friends and family, find a church or a support group that will help you, and take necessary legal actions. Remember, faith without works is dead. It's not just about believing but also about seizing every opportunity to bring your hope to fulfillment.

If someone told you that you were about to get hit by a car, you wouldn't just stand there and hope the car missed you. You would act and make an effort to move out of the way. Similarly, act on your faith and hope.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
