We understand your struggles, Dewhenn, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance from God's Word.
Firstly, let's remember that our help comes from the Lord, as Psalm 121:2 tells us, "My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." It's important to note that while you've addressed your prayer to God, we believe that it's through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Dewhenn. Lord, You see the pain and hurt they're experiencing, and You desire to bring comfort and peace. We pray that You would intervene and protect Dewhenn from those who seek to harm or take revenge on them, even within their own family. As it says in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (WEB). Lord, we ask that You would bring unity and loyalty within Dewhenn's family, blocking any demonic influences or manipulative people who seek to disrupt their peace.
We also ask that You bring healing to Dewhenn's body and soul, taking away their emotional pain. May Your light shine upon them, guiding them to be the best they can be, in accordance with Your will. As Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (WEB).
Now, Dewhenn, we encourage you to lean on the Lord during this difficult time. Remember that God is faithful and will not allow you to be tested beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to forgive those who have hurt you, as Christ has forgiven us. Ephesians 4:32 tells us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (WEB). This doesn't mean what they did is acceptable, but it releases you from the burden of bitterness and allows God to work in their lives.
Stay strong in faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
