Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your mercy and forgiveness. Your Word reminds us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We hold onto this promise as we lift up our brother or sister who is earnestly seeking Your grace.
Lord, we acknowledge that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory (Romans 3:23), but we also know that Your love and mercy are boundless. We ask that You pour out Your forgiveness upon this person, cleansing them from all their sins and errors. May they feel the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that through Jesus Christ, they are forgiven and made new.
In the name of Jesus, who bore our sins on the cross, we pray for Your mercy to envelop this person. Guide them, Lord, and lead them on the path of righteousness for Your name's sake. Help them to walk in the light, as You are in the light, and to find strength and comfort in Your presence.
Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promise that "the Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). May Your grace and mercy be ever-present in this person's life.
