Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Ekboo and the struggle with gambling addiction. We know that Your word says, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lord, we ask that You provide Ekboo with the strength and the way out of this addiction.
Father, we pray for the renewing of Ekboo's mind, as Your word tells us in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Transform Ekboo's thoughts and desires, Lord, so that the focus is on You and not on gambling.
Lord, Your word also promises us peace and comfort. In Philippians 4:6-7, it is written, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We ask for Your peace to guard Ekboo's heart and mind, replacing the anxiety and compulsion of gambling with Your divine calm and assurance.
Father, we declare freedom over Ekboo's life, as Your word says in Galatians 5:1, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Break the chains of this addiction, Lord, and set Ekboo free to live a life that honors and glorifies You.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the work You are doing in Ekboo's life. We trust in Your power and Your love to bring about this transformation. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
