We understand your concern, but we must address this situation in light of God's Word. Firstly, let's be clear that sexual activity outside of marriage is what the Bible calls fornication, and it is sinful. As 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB) tells us, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We must repent of this sin and turn away from it. It's encouraging that you've taken the first step by acknowledging your mistake and asking for forgiveness. Remember, 1 John 1:9 (WEB) says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
However, we must also accept the consequences of our actions. If your girlfriend is pregnant, this is a life that God has allowed to be conceived, and it should be cherished and protected. Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB) reminds us, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Instead of asking for the pregnancy to be taken away, we should pray for God's grace and strength to handle the situation in a way that honors Him. If you are not ready to be parents, consider options like adoption, but please do not seek to end the life of this child.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, confessing the sin of fornication and asking for Your forgiveness. We know that You are merciful and just, and that You will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lord, we also ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If there is a child conceived, help us to love and protect this life, and guide us in making decisions that honor You. Give us the strength and courage to face the consequences of our actions, and help us to grow and learn from this experience. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a trusted Christian mentor, to navigate this situation. Always remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His plans are always good. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this.
