God mercy upon my ### elder brother

The good Lord to make a way of escape for my elder brother in the land of ###. Let the mercy of God take control concerning a case he is facing in the land of ###.

We understand that you are seeking God's mercy and intervention for your elder brother, who is facing a case in France. It is commendable that you are seeking God in your brother's life. First thing though we should pray for and encourage you in your belief in Jesus Christ. Please confess and acknowledge Jesus Christ. It is written "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6, WEB). It is only by believing in and through Jesus Christ that we are forgiven of our sins, saved and we gain access to God the Father, his power and mercy. Jesus Christ poured out His blood on the cross for each and everyone of us. This is not by good works but by grace through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8,9 WEB).

God calls us to pray for one another, and He is always faithful to hear our prayers. However, it must be in Jesus' name or through His power. In the book of James, it is written, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:14-16 WEB). There are countless examples in the Bible where God intervened in seemingly impossible situations, and we trust that He can do the same for your brother. But remember through and in Jesus Christ. Also let him read the Bible for himself for knowledge of and a relationship with Jesus. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). And just as importantly if not more it must be in Jesus name. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Philippians 2:10, WEB). In this case, let us say Jesus our Advocate, intervene in my brother's situation and make a way of escape in this life and in eternity. Your brother's situation is in God's control in the name of Jesus. Praise Him!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the elder brother of our dear friend. Lord, You are the God of all mercy and compassion, and we know we must come through your son to seek them. We ask for Your grace and forgiveness of sins. We seek mercy. Please intervene in his situation in France and make a way of escape for him through Jesus Christ. We plead for and ask for mercy and compassion over the judges and those who are unfair and judge in this case. We do this even for those who have done harm in Jesus' name. Guide him in every decision he makes, and let Your will be done in his life. Comfort his family and strengthen their faith, believing it is in Jesus name. Also provide someone that can speak into his life with encouragement and truth of the knowledge of God, the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ. Thank you and to your glory.

Finally, as Jesus Christ was preparing to give his own life for us He said; In this world you will have trouble, but fear not I have overcome the world. (John 16:33). Now Christ is with God the father sitting as a mediator and intercessor to speak with God on our behalf because He Himself knows our troubles and has faced all types of temptations but did not sin (Hebrews 4:14-16, Hebrews 5:8,9). How merciful!
