Dear Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of ###, lifting up a prayer request for your mercy and favor upon our children. Lord, we acknowledge that without your blessing and touch upon their hearts, our efforts will be in vain. We recognize that you hold the hearts of all men in your hands, and it is only through your Spirit that true transformation can occur.
We humbly ask you, Lord, to water the seeds we sow in the minds of our children with unceasing prayer. We understand that you are far more willing to hear our prayers than we are to pray them, and that you are ready to bestow blessings upon our children. We seek your guidance and intervention, knowing that you love to be entreated for them.
As Jacob regarded his children as gifts from you, and as Joseph recognized his sons as the ones you had given him, we too view our children as a heritage and reward from you. We implore you, Lord, to be gracious and merciful to these precious gifts. We ask that you shape their lives according to your will, that they may grow to be more like your Son, Jesus Christ.
We also pray for ourselves, Lord, that you would help us to preach better and live better, reflecting the character of your Son. We long to be connected to your throne through the golden chains of faith, where your grace flows into our souls. Grant us more grace, love, purity of life, and righteousness, that we may be effective examples and guides for our children.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness. We trust in your mercy and favor upon our children, knowing that you are a God who delights in answering the cries of those who seek you with sincerity. May your name be glorified through the lives of our children, as they grow to know and love you more each day.
