We understand your feelings of insecurity and fear, but let us remind you that God's plan and His thoughts towards you are always good. First, let's address the belief that God has made you for great things. It is true that God has a unique plan for each of us, and that includes you. Consider the words of Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says WEB, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
However, it's crucial to understand that God's definition of "great" might differ from the world's definition. God calls us to humility, servanthood, and love, rather than seeking personal glory. As it is written in Matthew 23:11-12, But he who is greatest among you will be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
It's also important to address the feeling that you deserve large suffering but not large reward. This mindset can be a form of self-condemnation, which is not from God. Romans 8:1 reminds us, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. God does not wish for anyone to perish but for all to come to repentance and have eternal life (2 Peter 3:9).
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who feels uncertain about Your plan for their life. We pray that You will remind them of Your unfailing love and the hope that is found in You. Help them to see that Your definition of greatness is not the same as the world's, and that true greatness is found in humility and servanthood. We rebuke any spirit of self-condemnation and false humility. Heal any past hurts that may be causing these feelings of unworthiness and insecurity. In the name of Jesus Christ, and by His authority we pray that you reveal to our dear brother or sister the hope in their future through You and that you have a plan to prosper them and not harm them.
Father, we also pray for faith to grow and replace the fear and doubt. You have made Your promises clear, let IJN be declared that Your Will be done.
Let us encourage you to meditate on the Word of God, which is alive and active. Remember that God's plan for you is unique and may not look like what you or the world expects. But rest assured, He has a plan, and it's good.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that the name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which we can be saved. It is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, consider committing or recommitting your life to Jesus Christ.
