We understand your deep longing for a spouse and the feelings of urgency and even frustration that can come with waiting. First, we want to remind you that God loves you deeply and He desires the best for you. His timing is perfect, and He knows the desires of your heart.
Let's turn to the Scriptures for encouragement and guidance. In Psalm 37:4 WEB it says, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. This verse reminds us that when we delight in the Lord, He aligns our desires with His will and grants them according to His perfect timing.
We also find comfort in Isaiah 64:4 WEB, For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides you, what he has prepared for him who waits for him. This verse assures us that God has wonderful things prepared for those who wait on Him.
However, we want to gently remind you that God does not owe us anything. He already gave us the most precious gift, His only Son Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins. In Romans 8:32 WEB it says, He who didn’t spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
Instead of thinking that God has taken things from you, consider that He may be protecting you or preparing you for something better. Trust that He is working everything together for your good because you love Him and you are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is earnestly seeking a spouse. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in their life. If it is Your plan for them to be married, we pray that You would bring the right person into their life at the right time. Help them to trust in Your timing and to delight in You as they wait.
Forgive them if they have felt that You have taken things from them. Help them to see that You are a good Father who gives good gifts to Your children. Help them to trust that You are working everything together for their good.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in God and His perfect plan for your life. Seek Him with all your heart and He will guide your paths Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
