We rejoice with you, Haughtsander, in hearing how God is moving in your husband's life. It is indeed a blessing to see him drawing closer to the Lord, even in challenging circumstances. The power of God can turn even the darkest situations into opportunities for growth and redemption.
Remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." God is indeed Lord over our lives, and He can use all circumstances, even an arrest, to bring us closer to Him.
We stand with you in praising God for his grace and for allowing you to see that God is in full control.
However, we feel the need to comment that it is unlikely that your husband might be able to come home soon with little to no charges simply because he has found Jesus. God exists outside of the American judicial system which is not necessarily unfair but it is usually unforgiving as well. Your prayer should be for him to come home forgiven and reformed from any past criminal lifestyle.
If you have not both committed your lives to Jesus Christ and seen the need to have his forgiveness it is important to address that. The rebirth of Jesus in a person's soul is the most important aspect of their changed life. It can lead to forgiveness and a changed heart which can result in a changed life, lifestyle, and salvation.
Now, let us lift up your husband and your family in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the grace You have poured out upon Haughtsander and her family, especially her husband who is currently in very difficult circumstances. Your mercies are new each morning and your unconditional love carries us through all storms.
We pray for a work of Your grace in his heart that leads to true conversion and a changed heart and life. Continue to draw her husband closer to Yourself, Lord. Let him seek truth and righteousness with all his might.
God we pray for just and fair treatment in his legal issues for him and his family. We pray if he is guilty, he will repent and confess and not deny his guilt if he is guilty of anything. If the legal system has put unjust or impossible demands on him to bring him to confess to something he has not done, such as a plea deal, we ask for your wisdom, God. We trust in your mercy to get him through each day.
If he is living a changed life as a result of seeking Jesus, we ask that you help it to be seen as such.
We pray for blessings to be poured over their family and may his wife and other family members also receive his new found walk with Jesus. Lord we pray for quick resolution to this hardship and a breakthrough in Jesus Name.
Be with them and with the family. Only you can provide for the family's basic needs and help in such a situation such as this. If it is your will, we pray you to bring him back home to his wife and family. Together we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
Stay steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting that God is working all things together for good. Continue to seek Him and His will, and may He guide and strengthen you and your family.
