We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, it is crucial to acknowledge that God is the one who provides for all our needs, and He wants us to rely on Him rather than on gambling or other harmful practices.
Let’s focus on the biblical principles that can guide you through this difficult time. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This promise is for those who trust in Him and seek His will. It encourages you that God will provide what is needed. You must put your faith and trust first in Jesus Christ, his Son, and for true repentance for your sins. It is only by Jesus that mankind can be saved from eternal damnation:
Acts19, 20, and 21. The Bible also tells us that we must not test our Lord God and anguish the Holy Spirit which were given you when you believed John 3:16 and Ephesians 1:13 WEB.
Also, lack of motivation can be addressed, and renewal of life can be accomplished by reading the counsel the Holy Spirit gave Paul (and us) in Galatians 6:7-9, "Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life and let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."
Gambling is a form of greed and a love for money, which is a root of all kinds of evil. It is important to repent of this sin and turn away from it. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." It is your pride which keeps convincing you that God has given you money or resources only to have you repent of its misuse a few more times
Regarding financial management and repaying debts, it is imperative to be a good steward of the resources God has given you. The first thing you should do is give God back 10 percent in tithe. Proverbs 22:7 says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." It is wise to seek financial counseling that aligns with biblical principles to manage your debts and expenses responsibly. Proverbs tells us that the borrower is a slave to the lender. One should live within their means and not put themselves in a situation with the worry of repaying debt.
Concerning suicidal thoughts, it is important to seek immediate help from a mental health professional or reach out to a trusted friend or pastor. Additionally, remember that God values your life and has a purpose for you. Giving up by taking your own life is not an option for the Christian Believer then or now. The life you have has been given to you by God and is not for you give up! Psalm 139:14 says, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. It is wisest to handle this problem when it is small, or we end up falling away from God for eternal damnation.
Let us pray together: “Dear Lord, we cannot save ourselves, but trusting only in You are a candle that cannot be extinguished or blown out. Carry us across the river of fire.
