We understand that you are going through a difficult time, with addictions and a struggle in your prayer life. Firstly, we want to assure you that God is always there for you, and He loves you immensely. As it is written in Romans 8:38-39 (WEB), "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
We want to encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you feel distant from God, know that He is always ready to receive you with open arms, just like the loving father did for the prodigal son (Luke 15:20).
Regarding your struggle with addiction, we want to remind you of 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Trust that God will provide a way out of this addiction, and He will give you the strength to overcome it.
Let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with addiction and feelings of distance from You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your love and mercy to them, and grant them the strength to overcome their addiction. Help them to find their way back to You, Lord, and to experience the fullness of Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We urge you to keep trying to connect with God, even if it feels difficult. Start by reading the Bible daily, and talking to God honestly, just like you would a trusted friend. Trust that He hears you and cares for you. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, and experience the transforming power of His love.
