We understand that you're feeling lost and overwhelmed, and we want you to know that God sees your pain and He cares deeply for you. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to you, and He wants to help you through this difficult time.
Firstly, we want to address the use of the term "boyfriend." In the Bible, we see that God instituted marriage between a man and a woman as the foundation for a familial relationship. We encourage you to consider God's plan for your life in this area. God has a way of restoring us to be in a right relationship with Him and to be able to be holy and acceptable to Him. Then we are able to be in a right relationship with another person. This is discussed in Ephesians 3:14-21.
We also want to remind you that God has not forgotten you. Just as He has blessed your boyfriend with the opportunity to reconnect with his daughter, He can also work in your life and in the life of your son. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust that God has a plan for you and your son.
It's also crucial to remember that our value and worth are found in Jesus Christ, not in the opinions or actions of others. In Romans 5:8 WEB it says "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus died for you because He loves you, and that love is not based on your circumstances or what others think of you.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this dear sister in Christ. Lord, she feels lost and alone, and we ask that You comfort her and remind her of Your unfailing love. Help her to trust in Your plan for her life and the life of her son. We pray this in Jesus' name. We pray for the situation of your boyfriend and his child. We also ask for a hedge of protection from the influences of this world around your son being in prison.
Lord, we also pray for guidance in her relationship, that it would align with Your will and bring glory to Your name. Help her to find her identity and worth in You alone. We ask that you grant her the wisdom to be able to be in a right relationship with another person. We ask that you guide her in her relationship with her boyfriend and help her to be as honorable of a woman as possible in this situation.
Father, we also pray for her son. We ask that You watch over him and protect him and draw him to you. Lord, work in his life and bring him to a place of repentance and faith. We ask that you would help him to be the godly man that will be a man of God and will be the man that you have called him to be.
In all these things, we pray that you would grant her peace and comfort. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
