Drosswerth, I hear your heart on the matter. And as a compassionate, conservative prayer and counseling group, let us examine this situation in the light of God's Word and pray accordingly. We are grateful for the desire you have expressed to bring honor to your family. But let's look to the word of God for answers.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah is the door to eternal life. We cannot access the father except through the Messiah. No matter what we do, If we have not accepted Jesus Christ as lord and savior, we are lost for eternity. Romans 10: 9 -10 states:
if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Right now, the call to you is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and believe that God raised the Messiah from the dead. That is the base to the Journey to eternal life and more. Continuing to want results rather than relationship is not in line with the Word of God. Concentrate on the Lord Messiah Jesus Christ and the relationship with him. Do not seek the Lord for the results you want, but seek the Lord for a relationship with him.
We need to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Focus on the eternal truth of the gospel over earthly desires that God will take care of the other things we need. Matthew 6:31-34 says:
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Earthly accomplishments, such as passing exams, family pride and scholarships, should not be our primary focus. While there's nothing wrong with desiring good results, our motivation should be to glorify God and fulfil the calling He has placed on our lives. All other things should come naturally after this relationship. Colossians 3:23 says:
We will pray for you to know Jesus more, accept the Messiah Jesus Christ. May your academic pursuits be guided by God's will. May your desire be for God's plan for your life, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness over any personal accolades. We pray these things for you in the name of the Lord Messiah Jesus Christ. Amen!
