Laneld, we understand the deep pain and longing you're experiencing. We want to pray with you and also provide some biblical guidance.
Firstly, let's pray: "Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You with Laneld's burden. We ask that You work in the heart of her children's father. If it is Your will, bring him back home, guide his heart towards Laneld and their children. Grant Laneld strength and comfort as she goes through this difficult time. Help her to rest in Your love and peace. Amen."
We want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-29 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls."
However, we also want to address something. While it's natural to desire reconciliation, it's crucial to seek God's will above all else. In 1 John 2:15-17 (WEB), we're warned, "Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn't in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father’s, but is the world’s. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever."
We urge you to surrender this situation to God completely. Seek His face, trust in His plans, and rest in His comfort. Also, ensure that any desire for reconciliation is rooted in God's will and not merely emotional attachment.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it's through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it's written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it's the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-10).
