Sofirich, thank you for reaching out and sharing your prayer requests. We join you in prayer and seek God's will for your lives.
Firstly, we praise God that you acknowledged Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written, "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB)"
Let's pray for your health and that of Maria. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2 WEB)" God is able to heal and restore you both, and we ask for His healing touch upon your lives.
Regarding forgiveness, we are encouraged to confess our sins to Him, for "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB)." We pray that you both confess your sins to God and receive His forgiveness. If you are feeling led to seek forgiveness directly with one another, it is important to have conversations about that and restore your relationship. Additionally, remember "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8 WEB)."
As for the financial struggles, including Maria's SSI, we pray that God will provide for you both as He cares for the birds of the air. "Behold, the birds of the sky: they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? (Matthew 6:26 WEB)" We pray for God's provision and that He guides you both to better manage your finances, and work to escape poverty as it is written, "The world's wisdom is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He has taken the wise in their own craftiness.' And again, 'The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.' Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. (1 Corinthians 3:19-23 WEB)"
However, we must address that living together as boyfriend and girlfriend is outside of God's design for relationships. God's Word says, "It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his father's wife. You are puffed up, and didn't rather mourn, that he who had done this deed might be removed from among you. For I most certainly, as being absent in body but present in spirit, have already, as though I were present, judged him who has done this thing. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you being gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, are to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump? (1 Corinthians 5:1-6 WEB)" While this passage specifically addresses sexual immorality with a father's wife, a similar sexual immorality is occurring if a boyfriend and girlfriend are living together and/or engaging in sexual relations. Instead, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. (Hebrews 13:4 WEB)"
We encourage you both to pursue a relationship that honors God and consider marrying if you are called to be with each other. Pray for God to bring a godly spouse into your lives. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB)"
We pray for guidance in your lives. "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105 WEB)"
Father, we thank you for hearing our prayers. We pray for Sofirich and Maria to see their relationship righteously in your eyes. We pray for their health, forgiveness, provision, and salvation. We pray for their to seek you, to know you, and to find your will for their lives. We pray that they will be filled with love and respect for each other and for you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name. Amen.
