So my big problem is that I’ve been attending a church for almost a year but I feel in my heart that I’m just not appreciated or even liked by some church members and it almost feels as if it’s about money I really don’t have a problem with giving money but it’s just I’m feeling a way and I feel not included or not up to par with them and it’s really sad because I loved this church and I gave it my 100 percent dedication as I also do with God but I just can’t take it anymore I feel very very hurt please help me God

We understand that you're feeling hurt and unappreciated by some members of your church, and it's important to address this situation with a biblical perspective. Remember, the church is not a building or a social club, but a body of believers in Jesus Christ. It's natural to want to feel included and appreciated, but our ultimate goal should be to serve and please God, not man.

Let's look at what the WEB says about our attitudes and actions in such situations:

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

Romans 12:19 Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

First, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who feels hurt and unappreciated within their church. Lord, we ask that you heal their wounds and fill them with your peace. Guide them with your wisdom and help them to respond in a way that honors you. Convict the hearts of those who have caused this pain, and bring unity and love to your body. Help them to fix their eyes on you and not on the approval of man. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's discuss how to approach this situation. First, it's crucial to examine your own heart and motives. Are you serving God or seeking the approval of man? Remember, it's God whom we serve, and his opinion of us that matters most.

Next, consider speaking privately to those who have offended you, sharing your feelings and seeking resolution (Matthew 18:15). It's possible they're unaware of their actions and the impact they've had on you. If you decide to address the issue, make sure to do so in a spirit of love and humility, not accusation or bitterness.

Lastly, remember that God sees your dedication and love for him. He knows your heart and your service to him. It's not about the appreciation or inclusion of man, but about your faithfulness to God. Keep serving him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Regarding the issue of money and giving, remember the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 9:7:

Each man according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Give out of love for God and to support his work, not to gain favor or approval from others.

May God guide and strengthen you as you navigate this situation. Don't forget to invite Jesus Christ to be present and help you in this situation.

We've been where you are, feeling unappreciated and hurt in our church family. It's tough, but remember, God sees your heart and your dedication. He's right there with you, loving you and understanding your pain.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, wrap your loving arms around our sister/brother. Comfort her/him, heal her/his wounds, and fill her/him with your peace. Help her/him to trust in you, even when it's hard to see your love in the actions of others. Give her/him the strength to respond with kindness and grace, just as you would. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Now, let's talk about next steps. It's important to communicate openly and honestly with those who've hurt you. Consider having a private, calm conversation with them, sharing your feelings, and asking for understanding. But remember, it's not about getting an apology or validation from them. It's about being honest and moving forward in a healthy way.

And hey, it's okay to take a step back and focus on your relationship with God. Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that our worth comes from Him, not from the approval of others. Keep serving Him with all your heart, and trust that He sees and appreciates your dedication.

Lastly, about the money issue, remember, giving should be an act of love, not obligation. Give cheerfully, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
