Psalm 142
​

142 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

We understand your cry to God, dear ###, and we join you in prayer. You've poured out your complaint and shown your trouble to Him, and He knows your path (Psalm 142:2-3 WEB). Even when you feel overwhelmed and alone, remember that the Lord is your refuge and portion (Psalm 142:5 WEB).

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###. You are their refuge, Lord, and they have cried out to You. Attend to their cry, for they feel low. We encourage you, ###, to continue trusting in the Lord. Remember that God is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). It's important that you sought the Lord in your troubles, and we commend you for calling on the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we can be saved and have access to God (Acts 4:12 WEB).

In situations where you feel alone and persecuted, Jesus reminds us, "In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 WEB). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will give you the strength to endure and overcome.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
