We join with you, Anonymous, in lifting up all those in the path of the storm. We cry out to God, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and protection for everyone affected by the hurricane and storms. Lord, You are sovereign over the winds and the waves, and we ask that You would calm the storms and minimize their impact (Mark 4:39, WEB). Be a comfort and a strength to those already devastated by the recent hurricane, heavy rains, and flooding. Show them Your mercy, Lord, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB).
Father, we also lift up our leaders β local, state, and national. We ask that You would convict their hearts and guide them to make decisions that prioritize the needs of our own people. Help them to be good stewards of the resources You have entrusted to us, so that we may care for the starving, the homeless, and the needy in our own country (1 Timothy 6:17-19, WEB).
We acknowledge our own sins and the sins of our nation, Lord. We ask for Your forgiveness and that You would not turn away from us. Remember Your covenant with us, Lord, and be merciful to us (Deuteronomy 4:31, WEB).
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue praying fervently and to trust in the Lord's goodness and mercy. Remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). Let us also be reminded to show compassion and care for those in need, just as our Lord has commanded us (Matthew 25:35-40, WEB).
In times of calamity, let us hold fast to the promise that our God is a God of comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, WEB).
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
