GOD DOES PROVIDE!
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:9-11
Will you go and worship and praise the Lord this Lord’s Day? He is worthy to be praised. Never doubt the power of God every day. Do you believe in miracles? I do. I believe that when marriages are brought back to life again that is a miracle from the Lord God. The Lord touched and transformed our marriage, so I have personally experienced the power of God. God created the institution of marriage.
Do you remember how Jesus fed five thousand people? May you never forget that Jehovah Jireh is your Provider.
When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?†He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do...Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?†Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.†There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.†So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten. After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.†John 6:5-6, 8-14
A few days ago I wrote a devotional, Lord, Help Me, and standers have written to us praising the Lord for how He has provided for them. Since this is the Lord’s Day, I want you to hear how the Lord provides for His children. Please remember that God is no respecter of persons.
“I just wanted to take the opportunity to give the Lord praise for the way He has provided for me and my child during this time. It has been very hard for me to trust that God would provide for all of my needs. I recently had two months in which my electric bills were over $500. I have not stopped tithing and since I have set my mind to just trusting Him for my finances, God has made a way for me to pay both of these bills, and He's still providing - even for our insignificant ‘wants.’ I have had to be self-sufficient my whole life and this is one of the areas that I have wrestled with God over. I can say now that He has shown His faithfulness. God IS good - and now I can truly say that I BELIEVE that! For those who may be struggling with this same issue, when you find yourself looking at the numbers, just trust Him! If He provided oil for the widow and her son, He WILL do it for you!†(Virginia)
“Charlyne’s recent devotional, Lord Help Me reminded me of how good God has been to me financially while my husband has been gone. I ran out of money before the end of the month and had to put some bills on my credit card. I cried out to God and asked Him to help me get out of debt. The next day my electricity company contacted me to tell me that I had been over paying and that they owed me money! They paid the full amount I owed straight into my account! Praise the Lord because He really does provide for His children.†(United Kingdom)
“Recently I submitted a prayer request to Rejoice Marriage Ministries due to many difficult circumstances right now. I want to praise the Lord for His faithfulness. This week I received a follow-up phone call from a job fair I attended last summer. They said they failed to follow-up sooner, but I know the Lord has perfect timing. I also received a call about a source of money finally coming, which will cover a bill that has to be paid. Praise the Lord, He is so good!†(Virginia)
So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.†Genesis 22:14
“Major changes are happening where I work which also affected my department. God had spoken to me right at the start and told me my job would be safe but after a few months of no one informing us of what was happening, I allowed the enemy to start talking to me and fear took hold of me. To make it worse, it became clear there were three of us whose jobs were at risk and it looked as if mine would be the first to go. I became very negative and moaned daily until God got hold of me and told me to start speaking HIS words of abundance. Well I now have a praise report. From the point of nearly having no job, I was suddenly offered two positions. Also, my boss, who for a very long time had a nasty attitude towards me, suddenly has become considerate and friendly and is genuinely pleased that I am staying. Plus my two colleagues also have new jobs. God is so good!†(United Kingdom)
“All glory to Jehovah Jireh, because He is faithful in supplying our needs. Living on a single income for a few years hasn't been easy and I’ve had to replace major appliances since my husband’s been gone. Most recently I had a leaky roof in my kitchen, especially due to the heavy snowfall this year. I was a bit stressed because I didn't have the finances to repair it. I got several estimates, all reasonable but too much for my budget. I called on Jehovah Jireh and said Lord You are my Husband as in Isaiah 54:5-6 and I need a miracle. The next day a friend called to say hello and said that she had a Christian friend who is a roofer and might be able to do the work for less. So I called and he came over and, glory to God, he patched up the leaky areas. He charged me absolutely nothing. He said, ‘You owe me nothing,’ and refused to take any money. Hallelujah, our God is faithful to supply ALL our needs according to His riches in glory. Be encouraged, He will do the same for you.†(New York)
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
I believe in miracles. I believe that God hates divorce. I believe and know that God does speak to His children and answers prayers. Now let’s pray in agreement this Lord’s Day that many prodigal hearts and lives will have had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ today. Then they will obey their Lord and Savior and will come home, suddenly!
Have a blessed day,
