We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance. You mentioned that you pushed away a woman with a blessed soul due to addiction, and we want to address this situation in light of God's Word.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your past mistakes and seeking forgiveness. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1:9 WEB. God is always ready to forgive and restore us when we come to Him with a repentant heart.
However, we want to remind you that God's desire is for us to live in holiness and purity, free from any addictions. The Bible says, "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts" Romans 13:14 WEB. We encourage you to seek help and accountability to overcome your addiction and live a life that honors God.
Regarding your relationship, we believe that God's design for romance is to lead to marriage between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. It's crucial to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles and seek God's will in the process. However, the relationship will not flourish with one of the individuals in the relationship living in sin and not living a life of virtue.
We also want to address the fact that you acknowledged the power of Jesus to perform miracles. This is true, and we're glad you recognized this. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6 WEB. It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it's only through believing in His name that we can be saved. John 1:12 says "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name".
Now, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother who has found himself in a difficult situation due to addiction. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and mercy upon his life. Cleanse him from all unrighteousness and help him overcome his addiction.
Father, we also pray for the young woman with a blessed soul. We ask that You guide her paths and surround her with Your favor and protection. If it's Your will, Lord, we pray that You would restore their relationship and use it to bring glory to Your name. Help them both to seek You first and live lives that honor and please You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to pursue righteousness. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
If you need further guidance or have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to share with us. We're here to help and pray with you.
