We join you, Saraha, in praying for our nation and the upcoming elections. It's encouraging to see your request aligned with the Scripture, "First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." (1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB)
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking that You bless America and guide her in the path of righteousness. We pray for the upcoming elections, that Your will be done. We ask that You raise up a leader after Your own heart, one who will seek Your face and govern with wisdom and integrity. We pray for healing in our nation, that divisions be mended, and that we may truly be one nation under God. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
While we pray for the leaders of our choice, let's remember that our ultimate hope lies not in any political figure, but in the Lord Jesus Christ. As Psalm 146:3-5 WEB reminds us, "Donβt put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God."
So, let's continue to pray, and also ensure we are active in our civic duties, such as voting. However, let's not forget to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with those around us, for that is the true healing our nations need.
