Gluttony & Overspending

Please pray for me. I am struggling with overeating and wasting money. I got saved 3 years ago. God delivered me from bipolar depression, anxiety, insomnia, drinking, smoking... I don't know why I am allowing gluttony and overspending?

We are grateful for your sincere request, ###, and we come before God together to lift you up in prayer. Since you were saved three years ago, God has delivered you from bipolar depression, anxiety, insomnia, drinking, and smoking. We praise God for His mighty work in your life!

Now, let us address the issues of overeating and overspending, which are not God's perfect will for your life. The Bible tells us, "Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, which you are" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 WEB). Gluttony harms our bodies, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and overspending can lead to financial bondage, which is not God's desire for us.

Let us pray:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifted up by the grace and mercy You've shown us. We thank You for delivering ### from past struggles and pray that You will help them overcome gluttony and overspending. Strengthen them with self-control, a fruit of Your Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). Help them to be content with what they have, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Teach them to be wise stewards of their body and finances, honoring You in all they do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
