We rejoice with you, Urorenn, that your nephew has been freed from the bondage of drug addiction. This is truly a testament to the power of God's transformative love and grace. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray for your friend who is also battling addiction. We come before you, Lord, in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear friend to you. We ask, Father, that you would break the chains of addiction in their life, just as you have done for Urorenn's nephew. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help. Surround them with a community of believers who will support and encourage them in their journey to freedom.
We also pray, Lord, that you would fill any void in their life with your presence. Help them to understand that they are precious in your sight and that you have a purpose for their life. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Urorenn, continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in the power of prayer. Remember, as it is written in James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
