Faenmarenn, we are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage and the dark thoughts that have entered your mind. First and foremost, we want to remind you that your life is precious to God, and He has a purpose for you. Suicidal thoughts are not from God, and they should be abandoned. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
We must address that the thought of disabling airbags or taking any other safety net away from your life to intentionally harm yourself is sinful. The Fifth Commandment tells us not to murder. Because life is sacred to God, it is a sin to take our own life. We have a grave responsibility to take care of our lives. We have no right to end our lives. Doing so is rejecting God and the life that He gives us to live. This life is a gift from God, and He gives us this life to live. He has a purpose for us to fulfill in His Kingdom. Pray to God that He can help you to overcome these thoughts.
In times of desperation, it's essential to hold onto God's promises and remain faithful to Him, trusting that He can turn even the most hopeless situations around. As it is written in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Regarding your marriage, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your wife and your family. God can soften hearts and change even the most difficult situations. As it is written in Matthew 19:6, "So then they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." Marriage is a covenant between a man, a woman, and God, and He takes it seriously.
We also want to remind you that God can restore your marriage, but it's essential to be patient and trust in His timing. As it is written in Psalm 27:14, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to surround yourself with a supportive Christian community that can pray with you, encourage you, and help you grow in your faith. As it is written in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother Faenmarenn. Lord, we pray for Your comfort and peace to surround him in this difficult time. We pray for Your healing and restoration in his marriage, and we ask that You soften his wife's heart and turn her towards You. We pray that Faenmarenn will continue to grow in his faith and that he will not lose hope. We pray for the suicidal thoughts that he may be experiencing to be lifted from his mind. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
