We understand your desire to provide for your family as they visit, and we want to lift your situation up in prayer together. Firstly, we are thankful that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ in your request, for it is in His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
In regard to your financial needs, let's remember the words of Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We should always strive to make our requests known to God, as you have done, while also working honestly and diligently to meet our needs. Proverbs 13:11 (WEB) reminds us, "Wealth gotten by fraud dwindles, but whoever gathers by labor increases it."
Additionally, we want to encourage you to be content and to trust in God's provision. Hebrews 13:5 (WEB) says, "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
Let us pray together for your needs:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our dear sister in her time of need. We ask that You would provide abundantly for her as she seeks to be a blessing to her family. Give her the strength and wisdom to work diligently and honestly, and grant her the finances necessary to host her family with love and generosity. We also pray for her daughter-in-law, that she may find healing and joy as she overcomes post-partum depression. Help our sister to trust in You and to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You will never leave her nor forsake her. This we pray in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that financial gain should not be the primary goal of counseling. Instead, use this opportunity to share the love of Christ and the wisdom of His Word with those who seek your advice. May God bless you richly as you serve Him and your family.
