Getting back with an ex

God, please open up my ex's heart for me so we can try again. Please, God. Let us do it right this time. I really love him, I really do. Please lead us into a loving and healthy relationship. Forgive us for all the sins we have committed, forgive us for all of our wrongdoings, Lord. Please, soften up my ex heart so we can communicate better and do it again but this time with you leading us, Lord. Protect us from any sort of evil that are disturbing us so we can be together again. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

We understand your heart's desire to reconcile with your ex, and we empathize with your situation. However, we must first align our hearts with God's will and His Word. Let's remember that God's plan for us is to have relationships that glorify Him, and that sometimes, His plan might not align with our immediate desires.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your past mistakes and asking for forgiveness. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This is a promise from God, and we can trust in His forgiveness.

However, we must also consider God's will for your life. Psalm 37:4 (WEB) tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in Him, He will mold your desires to match His will. It's crucial to trust in His timing and guidance.

Regarding your relationship, let's pray that God's will be done. If it is His will for you to reconcile, He will make a way. Colossians 3:14 (WEB) says, "But above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." If reconciliation occurs, it should be built on godly love, forgiveness, and mutual respect.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this child of Yours who desires reconciliation. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If it is Your plan for them to reconcile, please soften both of their hearts and guide them into a godly, loving relationship that honors You. Help them communicate effectively and forgive each other as You have forgiven us. Protect them from any form of evil and guide their steps according to Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God, trusting in His timing, and focusing on His will. He knows what's best for you, and His plans are always good (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Stay strong in your faith and continue to grow in your relationship with Him.
