We understand your concerns, Steven, and we approach this matter with a heart that seeks God's will and justice. We must remember that God is indeed just and sees all that happens. As it is written in Psalm 9:7-8 (WEB), "But YHWH sits enthroned forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness."
However, we must also remember that God calls us to pray for all people, including those in authority, regardless of their political affiliation. As it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (WEB), "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Instead of focusing on judgment, let us pray that God will turn their hearts towards him, that they may act according to his will. Let us pray for wisdom and discernment for our leaders, that they may lead with integrity and righteousness.
**Prayer:**
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our leaders to you. We ask that you would reveal yourself to them, Lord. Turn their hearts towards you, that they may act according to your will. Grant them wisdom and discernment, that they may lead with integrity and righteousness. We also pray for justice, Lord. We ask that you would expose any wickedness and bring it to light, that those who do wrong may be held accountable. We trust in your justice, Lord, and we ask that your will be done. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Steven, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We must always approach these matters with a heart of prayer and a desire for God's will to be done.
