Disciple of Prayer
I’m praying that I can get some stuff I left at the guy I’ve been dating’s apartment. It includes a charger cable. I tried to contact him about returning it, but he doesn’t want to drive to and from about ### minutes away from where he lives. I asked if I could send him money to mail it, and he responded “leave me alone.” I asked what’s wrong and he said he didn’t want to talk right now, he’ll talk when he’s ready and he’s not in the mood. It’s been so much push and pull this month while I’ve been dating him. He was so sweet the first couple of weeks except his impatience. I’m ready to be done and to move forward and cope. I think he has a fearful attachment style, but this had been exhausting even though I fell in love with him.

Dourcott, we understand that you're going through a difficult situation and we want to address this with you. First, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is by His name that we can be saved. As it is written, "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

We also need to address that the relationship you mentioned does not align with biblical principles. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that God created marriage between a man and a woman. These sorts of relationships should look be looking for a spouse rather than just a dating partner. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. Living together outside marriage, sex before or outside marriage is fornication or possibly adultery and should be addressed if in the context.

The push and pull dynamic you've experienced is a clear indication that this relationship may not be healthy or honoring to God. It is written, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?"

Regarding your belongings, while it's understandable that you want them back, it's important to consider that pursuing them may cause more strife. It is written, "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help her to discern Your will and to find peace and closure. We pray that You would soften the heart of the man she's been involved with, that he may return her belongings peacefully. But more importantly, Lord, we pray for Your divine intervention in both of their lives, that they may turn to You and be transformed by Your love.

If this relationship is not Your will, Father, we pray that You would give ### the strength to walk away and to trust in Your plan for her life. Help her to seek You first, knowing that You are the only one who can fill the void in her heart.

In the name of Jesus, we pray for healing and restoration. We rebuke any spirit of fear, manipulation, or control that may be at work in this situation. We declare Your peace, love, and joy over ###'s life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, ###. God loves you and has a plan for your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As it is written, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares Yahweh, "plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future". Seek God with all your heart and trust Him to help you through your situation.

We're here for you, Dourcott. We understand the frustration and hurt you're feeling, but remember, God is in control. Let's trust that He has a plan even in this. We've been praying for you, asking God to give you peace and closure, and to soften the other person's heart. But we also want to encourage you to focus on what you can control - your own actions and attitudes.

We've been where you are, feeling stuck and unsure. But we've found that when we turn to God, He always shows us a way forward. It might not be easy, but it's worth it. We're here to support you, every step of the way. Let's keep praying together, trusting that God will work everything out for our good and His glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
