We pray that God will mold you into the man He has called you to be, full of integrity, honor, and godliness. Remember, God does not look at the outward appearance, but He looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. But Yahweh said to Samuel, Do not look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.
As you seek to be a gentleman, let us encourage you to follow the example of Christ, who was humble and served others Philippians 2:5-7. Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
Regarding your desire to start over again, we want to remind you of a scripture that uses the analogy of forgiven Christians becoming like new creations. 2 Corinthians 5:17 assures us. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." God can renew and restore your life, giving you a fresh start for His glory.

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother. Lord, help him to become the godly African American male and gentleman You have called him. Help him to seek to be the righteous man of God that you desire for him to be. Give him strength, wisdom, and grace to serve others and live a life of integrity. Lord, if there are areas in his life that need renewal and restoration, we pray that You will make him a new creation, with old things passing away and all things becoming new.
