Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to request your prayers regarding an important issue affecting the job market in our community. There is a growing concern about the trend of permanent jobs being offered primarily to foreigners, while contract positions are increasingly becoming the norm for Singaporeans. Please pray for a fair and balanced approach that prioritizes job stability and opportunities for all, particularly for local talent. May those in leadership recognize the value of supporting our community and creating an equitable work environment. Thank you for standing with me in prayer for this matter.

We understand your concern for the job market and the need for a fair and balanced approach. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.

Firstly, we must remember the words of James 2:1-4 (WEB), "My brothers, don’t hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory with partiality. For if a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, comes into your synagogue, and a poor man in filthy clothing also comes in; and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing, and say, 'Sit here in a good place;' and you tell the poor man, 'Stand there,' or 'Sit by my footstool;' haven’t you shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?"

It is important to advocate for fairness and equity in the job market, ensuring that locals are not marginalized in their own community. However, we must also guard our hearts against partiality or bias against foreigners, as God calls us to love and welcome the stranger (Leviticus 19:34).

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention in our job market. We ask that You guide those in leadership positions, granting them wisdom and discernment to create a fair and balanced work environment. We pray for job stability and opportunities for all, particularly for local talent, so that they too may provide for their families and contribute to the growth of our community.

Lord, we also ask for Your help in ensuring that our hearts are free from prejudice and partiality. Help us to love and value everyone, regardless of their nationality, as they are all made in Your image.

Lastly, we pray that Your will be done in this matter, and we trust that You will provide for the needs of all people in our community.
