Let's begin by understanding that God's desire is for us to live in purity and wholeness, both spiritually and physically.
Regarding the struggle with pornography, we must remember what Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28 (WEB), "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Pornography is a sin that feeds on lust and objectifies individuals, causing harm to both the viewer and those exploited by the industry. We encourage you to flee from this temptation, as it is not God's will for your life. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18 (WEB), "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved brother/sister who is struggling with the temptation of pornography. Lord, we ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from this sin. Strengthen them with the power of Your Holy Spirit to resist and overcome this temptation. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You and Your goodness. In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of lust and addiction, and we ask that You fill their heart with Your love and peace.
We also pray for their health, Lord. Just as You care for our spiritual well-being, You also care for our physical bodies. We ask that You heal and restore any infirmity or illness that they may be experiencing. Give them the strength to endure and the faith to believe in Your healing power.
Finally, Lord, we pray that our beloved brother/sister will grow closer to You each day, knowing that it is only through a strong relationship with You that they can overcome the challenges of this world. Remind them of Your promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), 'We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.'
