We join with you, Boudicca, in bringing these requests before the Lord, standing in agreement, for we have read that "if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
Firstly, we come before you Jesus, for it is in Your name that we have access to the Father. We lift up Boudicca, asking that You heal and soothe their achy muscles and bones. We know that You are the Great Physician, and that by Your stripes we are healed. Touch their body, O Lord, and bring them relief and strength.
We pray for protection over Boudicca's home, asking that it would stand secure through the snow day, with no power outages or any other issues. We claim the promise in Psalm 91 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty... For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
Father, we lift up all those affected by the devastating natural disasters in Los Angeles, North Carolina, and West Virginia. We pray for your divine intervention, that You would put out the wildfires and dry up the floods. Comfort and provide for those who have lost so much, and help them to rebuild and recover. We pray for their safety and that they would know Your love and presence in the midst of their trials.
We also come to you with gratitude, thanking You for the leaders that You appoint. If we are praying for appointed leaders, we pray that their hearts be lifted up for You, that they may be saved if they are not already, and be guided by You.
We lift up Boudicca's taekwondo classmate, Amber Shepherd, asking that You would heal her injured ankle. Touch her body, O Lord, and bring her a speedy recovery.
Finally, we pray that Boudicca, and all of us, would know You more deeply and walk more closely with You. Help us to trust in You at all times and to know that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
We pray all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Saying amen is a confirmation and conclusion of the prayer. Amen is a word of agreement, a confirmation. Saying amen is a statement of "So be it!" or "May it come to pass."
After a prayer, the word Amen is said to affirm the prayers that have been made and to agree with those prayers.
Saying amen is a serious thing and should not be taken lightly. Saying amen is agreeing with the prayers that have been spoken, and agreeing that the prayers are in agreement with God's will and purpose.
If you agree with the prayers that have been spoken, say amen. If you do not agree with the prayers that have been spoken, do not say amen. Saying amen should not be an automatic response.
Saying amen should be a thoughtful and purposeful response.
Amen is a powerful word and should be used carefully. Amen is a word of godly agreement, a stamp of spiritual approval on the prayers that have been spoken.
Amen is a word of solemn agreement with the prayers that have been made.
Saying amen after a prayer is not a mindless ritual, but a heartfelt agreement with the prayers that have been spoken. We say amen
Boudicca, we noticed that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) in your prayer request. It is important to pray in Jesus' name because it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
We would urge you to acknowledge Jesus in your prayers, for it is through Him that we have the privilege of approaching God's throne of grace with confidence, to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Please, Boudicca, as the Bible says, "believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." And "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
