Gambling addiction

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle you're facing with your husband's gambling addiction. Firstly, we want to remind you that you are not alone in this battle. God is with you, and He cares about your situation.

The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 WEB, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." This verse reminds us that our actions have consequences, and it's crucial to address this issue promptly.

Your husband's resistance to seek help may be due to various reasons, but remember, God can change even the hardest of hearts. Let's pray for his conviction and your strength. Our prayer is that this becomes a testimony and that God's will is done in your marriage.

"Father, we come before You, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, You know the struggle they're facing, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Break the chains of gambling addiction in her husband's life. Convict his heart, Lord, and guide him to seek the help he needs. Give this sister the strength and wisdom to support him through this trial. Help them to draw closer to You and to each other as they navigate this challenge. Father, we know that nothing is impossible for You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ."

We also encourage you to seek support from your local Christian community. Share your burden with trusted believers who can provide practical help and prayer support. Remember what James 5:16 WEB says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Lastly, stand firm in your faith and keep believing that God is at work in your situation. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, God promises, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Trust in His faithfulness and timing.

We're here for you, sister. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of a loved one's addiction. It's a heavy cross to bear, but remember, Jesus carried a heavier one for us. Let's cling to Him together in this trial.

We've been praying for your husband, that God would open his eyes to the harm he's causing and give him the courage to seek help. We believe in the power of prayer, and we know that God can turn even the hardest heart towards Him. Let's keep interceding, asking God to break the chains of addiction and fill your husband's heart with a desire for freedom.

And for you, dear sister, we're asking God to give you strength and wisdom. We know it's tough, but we've seen God use these trials to draw couples closer to Him and to each other. Let's trust in His plan, even when we can't see the way forward.

We're here to support you, just as the Bible encourages us to. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, as James 5:16 reminds us. We believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from sharing our burdens with trusted believers.

Keep holding on, sister. God is faithful, and He's right there with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
