We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle with gambling addiction. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB. It is through His power and strength that we conquer all temptations and addictions.
Gambling is a form of greed, covetousness and trying to get money quickly without working for it. This is a temptation and not part of God's plan for our lives. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB. But godliness with contentment is great gain 1 Timothy 6:6 WEB.
To overcome this temptation, we must first acknowledge the struggle and repent of this sin. Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective James 5:16 WEB. We encourage confession to a trusted Christian friend, counselor, or pastor who can support and pray with you.
It is only through the power of Jesus Christ that we can overcome any temptation or addiction. Therefore, submission to God is the key. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7 WEB. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with gambling addiction. We acknowledge that this is a sin and ask for Your forgiveness and mercy. We pray for the strength and power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this temptation. Help them to cast all their worries on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Guide them to a trusted Christian friend, counselor, or pastor where they can confess and find support. We also pray that they will find their complete satisfaction and contentment in You alone.
You tell us that Your desires are to give us hope and a future. We specifically ask for a new job, hobby, or other interests to fill the time previously wasted gambling. We pray for a heart that is focused on Your will and not the empty promises of gambling.
In Jesus' name, we pray for deliverance from this addiction. We put our trust and confidence in You alone, believing that through Your power, this struggle will be overcome. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.

We're here for you, and we understand the struggle you're facing. It's like being in a dark room, feeling trapped and not knowing how to find the light switch. But remember, God is always there, ready to guide us out. Let's turn to Him together.
First, let's acknowledge this addiction as a burden we're carrying, and let's lay it down at Jesus' feet. He's strong enough to carry it for us. "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NIV)
Next, let's find a trusted friend, counselor, or pastor to talk to. Sometimes, saying it out loud to someone we trust can make the burden feel lighter. We're not meant to carry these things alone.
Now, let's ask God to fill that void in our lives that we've been trying to fill with gambling. Maybe it's a new hobby, a job that fulfills us, or simply more time with loved ones. Let's ask Him to show us what that is.
