We understand that you're struggling with a gambling addiction and the financial burdens that have resulted from it. Firstly, we want to assure you that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB), and we are here to support you in prayer and truth.
Gambling is a form of covetousness and love of money, which the Bible warns against. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). The house always wins in gambling. The house is usually an entity that does not have the gamblers best interests in mind. Gambling also does not build up society. Therefore, turn from this vice.
Jesus said, No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon (Matthew 6:24 WEB). Mammon is the wealth that a person trusts instead of God. Instead of serving this, serve God whose son is Jesus Christ.
To be free from this addiction, you must be born again. Jesus answered, Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:5 WEB).
Repent therefore, and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance (Acts 26:20b WEB). Confess therefore your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5:16 WEB). Rid yourself of all deceitfulness, hypocrisy, envy, and evil speaking (1 Peter 2:1 WEB). Say, I confess my addiction to gambling to you, God. I confess my sin to you and this trusted group of believers. Please forgive me and give me the power, through your Holy Spirit, to overcome this sin.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31 WEB). There is no other name given to save us. If you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your new life in Christ Jesus does not have room for gambling or the problems gambling causes.
Cast all your worries about debt and gambling upon him, for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
Now let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up Praydoruanrad who is struggling with a gambling addiction and the financial burdens that have resulted from it. Lord, we know that this addiction is a form of covetousness and love of money, and we ask that you forgive Praydoruanrad for this sin. We know that it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. We believe that Praydoruanrad can be saved from this gambling addiction through Jesus Christ.
We pray that you will give Praydoruanrad the strength and courage to turn away from this sin and to serve you wholeheartedly. We ask that you will help Praydoruanrad to confess their sins and to repent. We pray that Praydoruanrad will believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and that they will be born again.
We ask that you will heal Praydoruanrad from this addiction and that you will provide for all of their financial needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray that Praydoruanrad will cast all of their worries upon you, Lord, and that they will trust in you completely.
We pray that you will heal Praydoruanrad and that you will help them to be a new creation in Christ Jesus. We pray that you will give Praydoruanrad a new life, free from gambling and the problems that it causes. Lord, let them be saved by believing in Jesus Christ and be free from the addiction. Let them now confess their addiction to others and be healed.
We ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
