We understand that you're struggling with a gambling addiction, ###, and we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we want to assure you that there's hope and freedom in Jesus Christ. As the Bible tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
However, we must address that engaging in gambling is not aligned with biblical principles. The love of money, which often underlies gambling, is described as a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Moreover, gambling can lead to financial distress, strained relationships, and a loss of focus on God and his purposes for your life.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister ###. Lord, we acknowledge and repent for the sin of gambling, and we ask for your forgiveness. Please deliver ### from this addiction, and show him/her the way of escape from this temptation. Help him/her to fix his/her eyes on you and your kingdom, and to trust in your provision.
