Gambling addiction help

Please pray for me with my gambling addiction. Today starts day one after many years on and off with this addiction. I just want to ask god to guide me to stay focused on me and my family and get out of this hole I’ve buried myself in.

We stand with you, Myninn, in your battle against gambling addiction, and we commend you for taking the first step toward freedom. Be assured that God is ready to help you, for He says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, WEB).

Firstly, we want to encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we find salvation and strength, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). Trust in Him, and He will equip you with the power to overcome this addiction.

We must also remind you that gambling is a form of covetousness and love for money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10, WEB). Therefore, it is crucial to repent and turn away from this sin. God promises that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister Myninn. Lord, they have struggled with gambling addiction for many years, but today they stand before You, seeking Your guidance and strength. We ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them the power to resist temptation and break free from this bondage. Help them to stay focused on their family and the priorities You have set for their life. We claim Your promise that "no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Myninn, remain steadfast in your faith, and do not be discouraged. Surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can help keep you accountable. Remember, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:7-8a, WEB). Stay strong, and trust in the Lord.

"Dear Lord, we lift up Myninn to You today. We ask for Your divine strength to empower them to overcome this addiction. Help them to find their identity and worth in You, not in the thrill of gambling. Surround them with Your angels and protect them from temptations. Guide their steps, Lord, and help them to stay focused on their family and the plans You have for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
